End of this year,With the 80MW solar power plant Okhotnykoyo which located in Crimea is completed and operated,Ukraine's solar generating capacity will be greatly improved to10 million MW at the end of this year.this factory do not only produce clean enectricity, but also reduce about 8000 tons of carbon dioxide.
Solar power is is only a part of Okhotnykovo overall project ,the plan seeks to use wind and solar energy to generate about 2,000 megawatts of clean renewable energy.
Ukraine has 54 million kilowatts of installed capacity, is the world's 12th largest energy market. The country's export electricity to neighbor countries, like Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia ,Slovakia and other countries.
Ukraine's national energy efficiency and energy conservation agencies (SAUEEEC) through the sale of carbon dioxide release right to the Japanese companies, which received nearly $ 400 million, and then use these funds in 2010 launched a Okhotnykovo project. SAUEEEC are ambitious plans to implement national energy strategy, by 2015, alternative energy will occupy 30% of the country’s energy market .
Solar and wind farm will occupy the equivalent of 207 football fields, could provide enough power to 20,000 households. Austria ACTIV SOLAR company responsible for the project, CEO Kaveh Ertefai said: "The project of this size is a huge change in the European solar market, while ensuring the Ukraine as a renewable energy provider's position."
